PPF film stands for Paint Protection Film or protective transparent film for a car.

• Gloss – for a classic shiny look that highlights the depth of color.
• Matte – for a sleek, modern look without reflections.
• Satin – somewhere between gloss and matte, with a soft, silky sheen.

Most often, it is a polyurethane film that is glued to the vehicle body. Its main task is to protect the paint from:

• stones and bumps from the road,
• minor scratches,
• UV rays,
• chemicals (road salt, bird droppings, etc.).

Many PPF films are also self-adjusting - this means that minor scratches smooth themselves out when the film is heated (e.g. in the sun or with a heat gun).

It is mainly used on:

the front of the vehicle (hood, bumper, mirrors),

the entire body (on more expensive cars).

 In Slovenia, PPF film is often used as premium protection, as it is more expensive than classic ceramic protection, but offers stronger physical protection.
